General:

  • Freshmen and sophomores interested in the PSAT 2018: Santa Cruz High School will be administering the PSAT 10 for sophomores on March 8th and the PSAT 8/9 for freshmen on March 9th. Testing takes the entire morning; students are responsible for any work missed in classes.The cost is $20 for either test. Students sign up and pay for the PSAT in the finance office at lunch time only.The number of tests is limited, so they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.The last day to sign up is Wednesday, January 24th. AVID students are automatically signed up and paid for.Informational flyers with information about the tests are available in the main and counseling offices.
  • Do you feel confident in your ability to tutor others? The PEER Tutor Program is accepting applications for the spring PEER Tutor Program. If you are interested, pick up an application in the front office.Applications are due January 26th.

Clubs: The following club meet today at lunch

  • Rainbow Alliance in room 80.
  • Cardinal Car in room 42.

Seniors:

  • Seniors! Jostens will be back on Thursday, January 25th for your cap and gown order! Remember to order now before prices go up!
  • Community Foundation Santa Cruz scholarship is due Friday, February 2nd. Apply early and check out the Santa Cruz High School website for more scholarships. 

Sports:

  • Please release girls’ varsity soccer at 1:45 and girls’ jv basketball at 2:45 today.

  • Hey cardinal students, finals are next week so ASB wants to give out some support by hosting Study Fest on Monday, January 15th , from 10 am – 2 pm. There will be student tutors and some of your class teachers to help you out. Freshmen, this would be an opportunity for you to learn different ways of studying in high school, so come join us. You can drop in at any time and do not have to stay for the whole session.We will also be providing food, snacks and hot chocolate to keep your smart brains working. Good lunch and hope to see your there.

  • If you have been assigned lunch detention for today. Don’t forget to report to the choir room by 11:25. A lunch detention is much better than Saturday school.
