Santa Cruz High School Daily Bulletin

General:   

·         BSU is attending the Black College Expo in Oakland tomorrow. Any student interested in attending HBCU or receiving a full ride or money for college, please see Black Student Union member.

·         Whiting’s Foods on the Boardwalk is hosting a “HIRING POP-UP EVENT” on Sunday, February 9th from 10:30am to 2pm with walk-in interviews. Check out their Facebook page for more details!

·         The PSAT 9 and the PSAT 10 will be offered to Freshmen and Sophomore students. The test is $20.00. Cash or checks made payable to Santa Cruz High School. Your student can order their test in the Finance Office on break or lunch only. Seats are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. 

·         AP Test are on sale NOW in the finance office! Current tests are on sale until February 28th! Don't miss your chance to order your test.  

·         Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Choir is selling singing telegrams. There are a variety of options of songs and gifts you can purchase for that special someone. Come check out our table at lunch! Valentine grams will be delivered 2nd period on February 13th.

·         Women’s honor society will be selling cookie grams during lunch in the quad today. Cookies are $2 and all proceeds will go to Jacobs heart Children’s Cancer and Support Services. They will be delivered on Thursday 13th during 2nd period.

·         Looking forward to cozying up this Valentin’s Day with something you love? Come to the library and get a Blind Date with a book! Library staff have picked the smartest and most attractive selections for you.

·         Anyone who has an Integrated Math III textbook that is overdue you need to return the book to the textbook room ASAP.  There are students who need this textbook for semester 2.

 

ASB:

·         Listen up Cardinals! Winter Formal is tomorrow at the Elks’ Lodge from 6 – 10 pm. Tickets are on sale in the quad at lunch or at the door for $20. This includes food, a photo booth and a DJ! Hope to see you there. 

·         Staff of the month nominations are due today.

 

Seniors:

·         IF YOU ARE DOING CREDIT RECOVERY, you must turn in your work each week to Lisa Storer. The opportunity to make up lost credit without retaking classes or leaving your school is a privilege. You must adhere to the deadlines. We will feel sorry for you if you don't get it done on time, but we will not be able to change the reality caused by your choices.

·         Deadline to purchase your yearbook recognition page is today or want your baby picture in the yearbook please turn in picture to Ms. R-K by today.

  • The Boardwalk is hiring! Instant interviews are held Monday through Friday until 4pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm. On the spot interviews!
  • Whiting’s Foods on the Boardwalk is hosting a “HIRING POP-UP EVENT” on Sunday, February 9th from 10:30am to 2pm with walk-in interviews. Check out their Facebook page for more details!
  • Interested in Cyber Security?Cyber Security Club starts today from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 67. They program is being taught by a Cabrillo College instructor.Club meets every Monday through May 18th. Come check it out.

  • Boys’ volleyball tryouts are Monday, February 3rd in the Gym from 7pm-9pm with a meeting following from 9pm-9:30pm. The first practice will be held on Tuesday, February 4 in the Gym from 7pm-9pm.
  • Boys’ Tennis practice starts today 3:30-5:30pm
  • Boys’ golf starts today at 3:30 at Delaveaga golf course.
