General:   

  • The PSAT 9 will be offered to Freshmen students. The test is $20.00. Cash or checks made payable to Santa Cruz High School. Students can order their test in the Finance Office on break or lunch only. Seats are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis.  PSAT 10 is sold out.
  • The Boardwalk is holding Instant Interviews for Seasonal Jobs. Monday – Thursday 9 am – 4 pm, Friday 11 am – 4 pm and Saturday 9 am – 3 pm at the Boardwalk’s Human Resources Office at 605 Beach Street. 

Seniors:

  • Check the Scholarship deadline calendar on the Santa Cruz High School website regularly! New scholarships are posted often!
  • Stop by Lauren’s desk in the Main Office to check the spelling of your name for your diploma! 

ASB:

  • Will be accepting donations for RKs Closet until March 20th.
  • Club Congress today at lunch.
  • Prom tickets will go on sale starting March 23rd, price $50. 

    Clubs: The following clubs meet at lunch:

  • Clean Oceans in room 83.
  • Circle of Friends in room 64.
  • Santa Cruz Bridge Education Foundation who will be teaching a beginning bridge class on Fridays in the library during 4th period beginning this Friday, March 13th.  Many colleges and universities field bridge teams and the American Contract Bridge League sponsors youth teams who compete in order to advance to competition in nationwide events, all expenses paid.  Bridge develops critical thinking skills in making logical inferences and working with probabilities. We're excited to offer this opportunity in the library!  All with an open 4th period are welcome. Ask Veronica if you have any questions 

Sports:

  • Athletes who are finishing a winter sport and want athletic PE credit need to complete the green form, available in counselling or in the main office, and return them by March 13. That’s this Friday.
  • Football rings will be delivered Friday, March 20th. Make sure to finalize all your payments or Jostens won’t release your ring or sweatshirt to you.
  • Please release varsity softball at 2:05 today.

3-9-20 

General:

  • SBAC testing starts tomorrow second period. All juniors please bring your headphones. You should have received a goldenrod sheet of paper from your first period teacher for testing classroom assignment. 

Seniors:

  • Bit of Reality for Senior is this Wednesday starting at 8 am in the gym. Students with a first period need to go to their first period class then you will be dismissed to the gym.

  • Join Rainbow Alliance for queer movie night in the auditorium this Saturday from 4 to 7 pm. Admission is free.

  • Congratulations to JV and Varsity Baseball on their sweep of Leigh High yesterday afternoon.
  • Come out and support boys’ volleyball at home tonight vs Soledad. JV at 5 pm and Varsity at 6:30 pm.
  • Please release boys’ golf at 2 pm and freshmen baseball at 2:30 today.

  • Congratulations to Greta Gustafson and Maya Letona who wrestled in the California state Championships last Thursday through Saturday. Greta placed 7th and Maya placed 2nd. 
  • Congrats to the girls’ soccer team on their CCS Championship.They play Christian Brothers of Sacramento tomorrow at 5 pm at home.First round of Northern California Championships. Come out and support the girls’ soccer team.
  • Boys’ basketball advances to the Nor Cal Tournament and will travel to San Francisco tomorrow to play Stuart Hall at 7 pm.
