General:       

  • Are you interested in being a representative of your school and peers? Want to learn more about local government entities?  Looking for the opportunity to share your voice with school district leadership? Then apply to be a Student Board Representative.  Pick up an application with Kathy in the main office. Deadline to apply is tomorrow.
  • Need a yearbook?  They are still for sale in the finance office at lunch or break. Cost $90. There are 29 yearbooks left.  Don’t wait!
  • This Friday is the Santa Cruz High School Choir will be presenting their end of the year pops concert! The show is at 6:30 pm in the auditorium and is free! They are performing all types of popular music from pop, and rock, to country. The show will feature both choirs and soloists. Come out and support this Friday at 6:30pm!
  • Come hear the talented musicians of the Cardinal Regiment perform their spring concert. today at 7 pm in the auditorium.  Admission is free.
  • It's the end-of-the-year library book round up!  All library books will be due or are overdue by this Friday. Please check under your bed, at the bottom of your locker, on the floor of your car . . . and return any books you have checked out from the library to clear your record before the end-of-the-year. Thank you!
  • Hey Link Crew! May Day is happening THIS FRIDAY, 5/24, at 1 pm in the gym. Be there!
  • Cabrillo College Summer Energy Academy is June 17-21.Please see your counselor if interested. 

ASB:

  • Seniors! ASB is open TODAY and tomorrow to purchase senior breakfast tickets.
  • Hey SCHS! Just wanted to tell you all about the spirit week leading up to the rally on 5/31.5/28 is sports day, 5/29 is meme, 5/20 is tourists’ vs locals and 5/31 is school pride. 

Clubs: The following clubs meet today during lunch.

  • Rainbow Alliance in room 67.
  • Women’s Honor Society in room 81.
  • BSU in room 63.
  • Art in room 40.
  • Coding in room 14.
  • Origami in room 11. 

    Seniors:

  • Mandatory senior meeting today in the gym at 10:45.
  • Tickets are still on sale for Grad Night. Don’t miss out on your last night to hang out together at the Boardwalk Bowl. Tickets include bowling, arcade games, movies, karaoke, photo booth, limitless pizza, slicers, French fries, nachos and Marianne’s ice cream with a complimentary pair of socks. Tickets prices are $55 so get your tickets before June 1st before prices go up. Grad Night is June 7th from 9 pm – 1 am. Go to schspta.weebly.com/grad-night-2019 to buy your tickets.

  • If you failed a class for need to bring your grade up for a 4 year college, please make an appointment to see your counselor.  
  • Hey gardeners, folks who like being outside, foodies, and people interested in local and sustainable agriculture, there is a new garden club starting at Santa Cruz High. Maybe you have noticed the school garden down by the softball field. Maybe you've noticed its potential, but you've probably also noticed it needs some love. Come to our first garden club meeting on Thursday May 16th at lunch in Ms. Falls' room, room 22. Help us plan a big garden work day that is happening on May 22.
  • Black Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 1st at Santa Cruz HHigfhgkdkHigh. If you are a graduating black student and would like to participate, please see Lauren in the main for a flyer to RSVP.  You must RSVP by today.

  • All work for Cyber High credit recovery must be completed by today.

    Sports:

  • Spring football practice will start Monday at 4 pm.Cloth and cleats on the field. Time to go!!
