General:       

  • American Red Cross is offering a Club and Leadership Workshop, Saturday May 11th.  If interested see the flyer outside counseling for more information.
  • If you failed a class for need to bring your grade up for a 4 year college, please make an appointment to see your counselor.  
  • Hey gardeners, folks who like being outside, foodies, and people interested in local and sustainable agriculture, there is a new garden club starting at Santa Cruz High. Maybe you have noticed the school garden down by the softball field. Maybe you've noticed its potential, but you've probably also noticed it needs some love. Come to our first garden club meeting on Thursday May 16th at lunch in Ms. Falls' room, room 22. Help us plan a big garden work day that is happening on May 22.

ASB:

  • Hey Cardinals! Come by outside the ASB Room and drop off song suggestions for prom into the box.
  • If you know you’re bringing a guest and you didn’t get their invitation, please come to the ASB room to check the list and grab the invite.
  • Women’s Honor Society is hosting card making today, tomorrow for homeless mothers. Stop by in the quad at lunch to make a card for your own mother or someone else’s!

Clubs: The following clubs meet today during lunch.

  • Rainbow Alliance in attendance.
  • Women’s Honor Society in room 81.
  • BSU in room 63.
  • Art in room 40.
  • Coding in room 14.
  • Origami in room 11.

    Seniors:

  • All work for Cyber High credit recovery must be completed by May 17th.

    Sports:

  • Anyone planning on playing football should attend a quick meeting at lunch today in the gym.
  • Please release jv softball at 2:20 today.

General:       

  • Bike to school tomorrow, ride your bike to school and get a free breakfast. Santa Cruz High will have breakfast before 1st period in the quad, and there will be other locations all around town where you can get breakfast and other goodies including the chance to win a free e-bike. Besides delicious breakfast, biking reduces your carbon footprint, uses less fossil fuels, is better for the planet, and is good exercise.

  • Would you enjoy an afternoon of reading and/or listening to poetry and excerpts of peers' writing?  If so, please let Veronica know that you'll be joining Creative Society's Literary Reading, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1:00 in the library, by the end of the day today (so we'll know how many snacks to bring!)  Thank you!

Seniors:

  • For seniors attending Cabrillo in the fall, there are two Registration Readiness Workshops on May 2nd at 12:05 pm and 1:45 pm. Sign up in counseling. Attending one of these sessions is mandatory. If you can’t attend you need to set up an appointment at Cabrillo.
  • If you are taking a class needed to meet graduation requirements through CYBER HIGH, please make sure you check in with the teacher every week. Deadline for completing all work is due May 1st!
  • If you are a senior going to College Signing Day tomorrow, make sure to get your permission slip filled out. You need teacher signatures from 2nd, 3rd and 4th periods! Since you’re in 2nd period now, ask your teacher!
  • Get your Grad Night ticket before prices increase May 1st.Check your school email account for additional information and link to purchase your ticket.
