General:       

  • Do you remember orientation when you were a Freshman?  The campus was huge, the students were grown and your classes schedule was challenging.  Did you wish someone was there to guide you? We need your help in being a mentor to our incoming Freshman Class of 2023.  This is your chance to pay it forward and become a Link Crew member and participate in Freshman Orientation.  If you are interested please sign up with either Rishi or Lauren in the front office.
  • Creative Society and the library will host a literary reading in the library on Wednesday, May 1st (Mini Day) at 1 pm. Please sign up with Veronica in the library by Thursday if you’d like to read your own original work or a favorite selection by another author. Stop by if you have questions.
  • Hey AP environmental science students, the AP test is coming up soon. To prepare for the test, you have a few study sessions coming up. The first study session is on Sunday April 28th from 12:30-2:30 pm. there are also lunch time study sessions on Tuesday April 30th, Thursday May 2, and Friday May 3. All of these study sessions will be in Ms. Falls' room, room 22. Ms. Falls has a released test for you to work through. We can also look at the released FRQs from past year tests, and if you have an AP test prep book, you can bring that too.
  • Ducky Derby is looking for volunteers for Saturday, April 27th. There are two shifts available, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm or 12 pm to 4 pm.To volunteer or find our more information contact Sarah Wolfsen at sarbarnes@yahoo.com.

    ASB:

  • Do you love Ristorante Italiano? Don’t miss your opportunity to get a great meal for only $5, Saturday, April 27th from 7 – 10 pm come hang out with us at the Spring Fling dance in the SCHS Quad. Tickets are on sale in ASB for $5.
  • Heads up clubs! There will be a Club Congress meeting today in room 64 at lunch. 
  • Last day to purchase your prom ticket is April 30th.

  • Circle of Friends in room 55.
  • Cardinal Car in room 42.
  • LSU will meet Thursday in room 67.

Seniors:

  • For seniors attending Cabrillo in the fall, there are two Registration Readiness Workshops on May 2nd at 12:05 pm and 1:45 pm. Sign up in counseling. Attending one of these sessions is mandatory. If you can’t attend you need to set up an appointment at Cabrillo.
  • If you are taking a class needed to meet graduation requirements through CYBER HIGH, please make sure you check in with the teacher every week. Deadline for completing all work is due May 1st!
  • Santa Cruz High School Alumni Scholarship applications are due this Friday to Lauren in the Main Office! Need an application? See Lauren as soon as possible! 

Sports:

Please release varsity softball at 2:15 pm and jv softball, jv baseball at 2:50 pm today.
