General:

  • The counseling office will host an informal presentation led by three students; two who are currently attending the engineering program at Cabrillo College and one at Cal Poly. If you are interested in engineering or have general questions about the college life, come to counseling for a pass. The presentation is tomorrow at the beginning of third period. 
  • Students enrolled in AP Chemistry next semester should plan to attend a mandatory lunch-time meeting in room 22 today at lunch. Again, if you are enrolled in AP Chemistry next semester, you must be present. This meeting is mandatory. You will receive the first few homework assignments and get the plan for the first unit. Don't miss this meeting, and help spread the word.

Sports:

  • Congratulation to the Boys Varsity Wrestling team who took first place at the St. Francis tournament.
  • Please release Boys freshmen basketball at 2 pm and jv girls soccer at 3 pm today.

  • Hey Cardinals! Don’t forget to wear your Cardinal Pride tomorrow.  
  • Come see the Sax Quartet at lunch today in the quad and cookies decoration and letters to first responder are happening at lunch in the quad.
  • Calling all writers: Word Lab is open for enrollment! Word Lab is a free after-school writing program at the Museum of Art & History, focused on creative writing of all kinds. Students in Word Lab are published in a professionally-designed anthology and receive an invitation to read their work at Bookshop Santa Cruz. Word Lab meets on Wednesdays from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at the Museum of Art & History. Session 2 starts on January 16th and runs until March 13th. Registration deadline is Wednesday, January 9th. If you are interested in signing up for Word Lab, please talk to Veronica Zaleha in the library.

Again, if you are enrolled in AP Chemistry next semester, you must be present in room 22, that's Ms. Falls' room, on Tuesday the 18th at lunch. This meeting is mandatory, and it is very important. You will receive the first few homework assignments and get the plan for the first unit. Don't miss this meeting, and help spread the word.

  • Hey Cardinals! Did you miss ugly sweater day today? No worries, tomorrow is – flannel day, Friday – Cardinal Pride day.
  • Any Students interested in Teen Peer Court. First court date is December 14th at 4 pm.  See flyer outside main office for more information.
  • Anyone interested in Engineering as a major in College? Counselling has invited two former students, who are excelling in the engineering program at Cabrillo, to do a casual presentation about their amazing  experiences.  Anyone interested please stop by the counseling office for more information and to sign up.
