General:       

  • Missed the prom payment plan deadline? No worries! Tickets are on sale for the month of February Wednesdays and Fridays at lunch for $170. Be sure to reserve your spot, space is limited!
  • Students, the deadline to guarantee your yearbook purchase in on February 8th. This is also the last chance to personalize your yearbook cover and it’s the final deadline for parents to purchase Ad space in the back of the yearbook. Make sure you secure your copy of the 2019 SCHS yearbook through the Jostens website.”
  • Blood Drive 2/12. Sign up in ASB at lunch! Spots are filling up!
  • Love is in the air, show your appreciation for your friend or “special friend” with a valentines’ day gram. Buy your valentine’s day gram in ASB. Cost $1.
  • Lost and found items from last semester will be donated to the local shelter this Friday. If you are missing your favorite sweatshirt or water bottle, you have until Friday to claim them.
  • Freshmen and Sophomores interested in taking the PSAT 8/9 or the PSAT 10
  • The PSAT 8/9 and the PSAT 10 provide an early, additional opportunity for students to practice for the PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT.  We have ordered a limited number of PSAT 8/9 (for freshmen) and PSAT 10 (for sophomores) for those who so choose.  The charge for each test is $20, with no fee waivers possible.  AVID students are automatically signed up for these tests at no charge.  Students may sign up in the Finance Office (bottom floor of the main building across from the California Street stairs) during lunch time only, on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • The PSAT 10 is scheduled for April 11, 2019 and the PSAT 8/9 is scheduled for April 12, 2019.  Students will miss the entire mornings’ classes.  It is the responsibility of the students to pre-arrange with their teachers to make up any missed work.

Clubs: The following clubs meet today during lunch.

  • New Club on campus! Robotics Club, meeting Tuesday during lunch in room 12.
  • Join Rainbow Alliance in the auditorium at lunch this Thursday for the final viewing of Love, Simon, All are welcome!
  • Women’s Equality in room 74.
  • Math in room 11.

Seniors:

  • Today the Santa Cruz Community Foundation Scholarship is due! Make sure you've completed your application TODAY!
  • Omega Nu and Santa Cruz Rotary Club Scholarship applications are available! See Lauren in the Main Office for your applications!
  • Check your student email to complete a brief survey from the PTA regarding grad night.
