  • The Boardwalk is hiring! Instant interviews are held Monday through Friday until 4pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm. On the spot interviews!
  • Whiting’s Foods on the Boardwalk is hosting a “HIRING POP-UP EVENT” on Sunday, February 9th from 10:30am to 2pm with walk-in interviews. Check out their Facebook page for more details!
  • Interested in Cyber Security?Cyber Security Club starts today from 3:30 to 4:30 in room 67. They program is being taught by a Cabrillo College instructor.Club meets every Monday through May 18th. Come check it out.
  • The PSAT 9 and the PSAT 10 will be offered to Freshman and Sophomore students. The test is $20.00. Cash or checks made payable to Santa Cruz High School. Your student can order their test in the Finance Office on break or lunch only starting today. Seats are limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. 
  • AP Test are on sale NOW in the main office! See Lauren for information. Current tests are on sale until February 28th! Don't miss your chance to order your test.  


  • Listen up Cardinals! Winter Formal is around the corner on February 8th at the Elks’ Lodge from 6 – 10 pm. Tickets are on sale in the quad at lunch every day for $20. This includes food, a photo booth and a DJ! Hope to see you there.

  • Check the scholarship calendar on the Santa Cruz High School website for local scholarship opportunities! Every senior should apply for the Santa Cruz Community Foundation Scholarship application that is due on February 6th. Also, the see Lauren in the Main Office for your SCHS Alumni Scholarship application!
  • California Host Lions Club Student Speaker Contest has been rescheduled to early February! See Lauren in the Main Office for information on how to compete! Scholarships available up to $10,000.00!
  • IF YOU ARE DOING CREDIT RECOVERY, you must turn in your work each week to Lisa Storer. The opportunity to make up lost credit without retaking classes or leaving your school is a privilege. You must adhere to the deadlines. We will feel sorry for you if you don't get it done on time, but we will not be able to change the reality caused by your choices.
  • Deadline to purchase your yearbook recognition page is February 6th or want your baby picture in the yearbook please turn in picture to Ms. R-K by February 6th.

 Clubs: The following clubs meet at lunch


  • Boys’ volleyball tryouts are Monday, February 3rd in the Gym from 7pm-9pm with a meeting following from 9pm-9:30pm. The first practice will be held on Tuesday, February 4 in the Gym from 7pm-9pm.
  • Boys’ Tennis practice starts today 3:30-5:30pm
  • Boys’ golf starts today at 3:30 at Delaveaga golf course.
