    Details: College Match Scholarship Recipients are granted admission to one of QuestBridge's college partners with a full, four-year scholarship worth over $200,000 each. Our college partners use a combination of their own funds as well as state and federal aid to fund the scholarship. This scholarship is offered as part of a generous financial aid package provided by the QuestBridge college partner that covers the cost of attendance, including: Tuition and fees, Room and board, Books and supplies, Travel expenses.

    Scholarship: VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Scholarship

    Criteria: Open to students in grades 9-12 who are enrolled in a high school, home study program, or an overseas U.S. military/civilian dependent school.
    Description: This scholarship is a "Voice of Democracy Audio Essay" competition- students record a 3-5 minute essay on cassette tape or CD. This year's theme is"Is This The Country the Founders Envisioned?"

    Criteria:

    Scholarship: Hispanic Heritage Foundation - Youth Awards

    Details: The Youth Awards honors Latino high school seniors who excel in the classroom and community and for their excellence in various categories including: Business & Finances, Entrepreneurship, Education, Healthcare & Science, Media & Entertainment, Sports and Technology.

    ELIGIBILITY:
    Be currently enrolled in high school and graduating in the spring of 2021
    Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale
    Must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2021-2022

    Scholarship: Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program

    Details: Equitable Foundation has established the Equitable Excellence℠ Scholarship Program to assist high school seniors who are planning to continue their education at a two- or four-year college in the United States by Fall 2021.

    This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. In compliance with Federal law, this program will not discriminate in the terms, conditions or privileges of participation on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability or sexual orientation.

    Only the first 10,000 will be accepted & site will close, students are encouraged to apply early! All winners will be announced at the same time, mid-April.

    ELIGIBILITY:

    Details:

    Scholarship: Ron Brown Scholarship

    Criteria: The Ron Brown Scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans. RBSP competitively awards Ron Brown Scholars four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.

    Recipients may use the renewable scholarships to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. Ron Brown scholarships are not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline. Since the Program’s inception in 1996, more than 300 students have been designated as Ron Brown Scholars.

    Applicants for the Ron Brown Scholarship MUST be graduating high school seniors at the time of their application.

    Students may apply at any time prior to the January 9th deadline. Guidance counselors may submit their letters of recommendation by email at info@ronbrown.org prior to January 9, 2021.

    Scholarship: Jimmie Cox Memorial Scholarship

    Details: 
    Available to students entering or already attending college and majoring in agriculture. Must provide transcripts. Should have school activities and leadership. Financial need. Planning to attend college. Essay required. Letters of recommendation required. This is a local scholarship.

    Criteria: This award will be allocated for every year in college (maximum of four), proof of full-time registration required.

    Eligibility:

    1.Full-time graduating high school seniors in good academic standing (minimum unweighted cumulative GPA 3.40 on 4-point scale), of any ethnic or cultural background, who plan to attend an accredited college or university (2-year and 4-year) in Fall 2020.
    2.Citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
    3.Residents of one of the following states or metropolitan area where we currently have InspirASIAN chapters: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and the Washington, D.C.     2021-2022 Scholarship Program Overview

    What: Twelve academic scholarship funds will generate at least 16 awards ranging from $1,000 - $5,000, including one-time awards as well as renewable multi-year scholarships.

    Description: The core purpose of Youth on Course is to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf. 

    Criteria: You must be a high school senior, enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited Northern California high school with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Scholarships are both need and merit based. You must be accepted for enrollment at a four-year college/university the same year the scholarship is awarded.     Description: This Bay Area foundation provides scholarships to students with a financial need. They have 10 different scholarship programs focused on various elements of achievement.

    Criteria: Incoming or current college students of various ethnic backgrounds planning on enrolling full time for the upcoming school year. A minimum of a 3.00 GPA is needed and U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.

    Scholarship: SCHS Scholarship

    Santa Cruz High School, established in 1895, is rich with history and tradition.  Many families who have graduated from Santa Cruz High have given back to those who are now graduating.  By submitting this scholarship application, you are applying for several scholarships funded by local family members of Santa Cruz High Alumni.     Details: Each year, the Cardinal Club will award one female and one male a $1,000 educational scholarship.
    ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible an applicant must be a graduating Senior Varsity athlete at Santa Cruz High School. Intend to enroll full-time, the graduated school year, at a university, college or trade school. Graduate with a minimum 3.0 grade point average.     Criteria: Students must achieve a total cumulative GPA (3½ years) of at least 3.2 and meet one of the following:
    1) Are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent and live within the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Arizona, California, Illinois and Nevada, only where Branches of the Federation are established; or, 
    2) Are Roman Catholic but need not be of Italian Descent or live where Branches of the Federation are established if either Roman Catholic parent, guardian or grandparent is a member of the “Italian Catholic Federation.”

    Description:The Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group offers a $30,000 scholarship (paid out over 5 years) to a student with the following qualifications: Requirements: 1. Anticipate a career as a medical doctor and plan to take pre-medicine courses to prepare for medical school. 2. Live in a geographic region served by the Palo Alto Medical Foundation: Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties 3.     Details: The Surf City - Santa Cruz Kiwanis Club is pleased to announce the availability of four college scholarships each in the amount of $1,000, and one trade school scholarship in the amount of $500. All will be awarded in early May 2021. These five Kiwanis Foundation Scholarships are available to seniors graduating this spring from four selected local high schools.

    Each of the college scholarships is targeted for a student planning on a specific major:

    candidate from your school for each scholarship; final selections from these candidates from the four selected local high schools will then be made by the Scholarship Committee of the Kiwanis Club of Surf City - Santa Cruz.

    Details: Since its inception the Rotary Club of Santa Cruz Sunrise has granted more than $285,000 in scholarships to college-bound high school seniors graduating from Santa Cruz area schools.  This is a completive program offering achievement and needs-based awards to students planning to attend 2-year and 4-year colleges.  Each scholarship is paid in annual increments for either 2 of 4 years and range from $700 per year to $1,000 per year.
